Who We Are
The Broadband Consortium of the Pacific Coast is a strategic initiative conducted by the Economic Development Collaborative in Ventura County. We have served as an advocate for broadband deployment and adoption across the Tribal-County area of Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo since 2014. We realize the imperative of creating a technology-enabled future and have created a compelling vision for the communities within our scope. The foundation for this vision is robust broadband infrastructure followed by the process for integrating technology applications, the integral components of the Internet of Things. We have created an alignment of organizations within the civic area to redefine how people engage, how planning occurs, and how projects are executed. The focus of our alignment occurs in three distinct areas, collaboration strategy and investment, technology infrastructure and applications, and civic leadership and entrepreneurship.
How YOU Can Help further the BCPC's Efforts
The time has come for the BCPC to apply for our next round of funding. On May 19, 2022, the California Public Utilities Commission made programatic changes to the Consortia Grant Account which includes allocating $10.71 million in funding for fiscal year 2022/2023. If you would like to know more about the Consortia Grant Account please see the link at the button below. As an eligible Consortium making headway in expanding broadband access across the Tri-County region of Southern California we are eager to apply for this funding and need your letters of support to validate the work we do and the accomplishments we have achieved in our journey so far.
